WHO WE ARE

AGING DOES NOT MEAN SETTLING.

"Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light." - Dylan Thomas, "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night"

Best Days Ever began with a question: with all the tools at its disposal, why does modern medicine focus so heavily on the quantity of life instead of its quality? Increasing life expectancy and decreasing mortality rates are celebrated with little to no regard for how those extra years are lived. As we age, we are told to just accept the "facts of life": fading libido and sexual performance, less energy and muscle mass, and more weight and body fat.

We reject this status quo. With the right medical support, you don't have to just survive; you can reclaim your vitality, perform at your peak, and thrive.

Josebelo D. Chong, MD

PHYSICIAN · CHIEF EXECUTIVE AND MEDICAL OFFICER

Dr. Josebelo “JB” Chong graduated from medical school in 2001. He earned his board certification in internal medicine in 2007 and then in pulmonary and critical care medicine in 2015. He has practiced medicine in California's Central Valley for over 10 years.

Working mostly in Intensive Care Units, Dr. JB has spent thousands of hours caring for people at the end of their lives. That experience shaped a simple conviction: medicine shouldn't just be about rescuing people when they get sick—it should help them live their lives to the fullest while they're here. At Best Days Ever, he brings the rigor of critical care medicine to proactive, one-on-one care focused on helping people "regain their mojo" and feel, function, and live at their best every day.

Outside of his clinical and administrative duties, Dr. JB enjoys exploring different places and culinary delights with his family, singing karaoke (enthusiastically, if not well), and long-distance running. He runs 1-2 marathons a year and has no intention of stopping.

CHAD LUTZ, RN, BSN

Registered Nurse · Chief Operating Officer

Chad Lutz began his healthcare career in 1997 as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. He later earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Sacramento, building nearly three decades of experience in emergency medicine, critical care, cardiac surgery recovery, and healthcare leadership. Today, he continues to care for critically ill patients, including those recovering from open-heart surgery.

Throughout his career, Chad has developed a passion for recognizing the strength within people. This inspired his Strength-Based Care initiative, an approach focused on empowering individuals by recognizing their abilities, experiences, and potential. His dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care earned him the prestigious DAISY Award in 2026.

Chad's passion extends beyond healthcare through Project Ironmind and Project Ironman TriClub, communities centered on personal growth, recovery, connection, and building strength through life's challenges. As a full-distance IRONMAN finisher, he embraces the philosophy of living what he teaches.

As Chief Operating Officer of Best Days Ever, Chad brings together his clinical experience, leadership, and personal philosophy with a simple mission: helping people build upon their strengths, optimize their health, and create a life filled with energy, purpose, and meaningful experiences. He believes healthcare should empower people to truly live, not simply survive.

Outside of healthcare, Chad's greatest joy is spending time with his wife and two sons, pursuing endurance athletics, strength training, and creating unforgettable experiences with family and friends.

At the heart of everything he does is his family's guiding mantra:

“Believe in yourself and each other.”

Come see the practice for yourself.
